The event, jointly organized by pharma.be and Healixia, opens with a keynote by Prof. Dr. Sara Willems (Ghent University), who will frame equity as a cornerstone of a future-proof healthcare system, followed by an interactive Q&A. The program then moves into a series of focused perspectives along the medicine lifecycle: from how patients and citizens are informed (FAMHP), to gender gaps and women’s health, equity in clinical trials through the IHI-READI project, an industry view on end-to-end health equity from Gilead Sciences, and a lived patient perspective on equity in cancer care.

After a networking break, all speakers return to the stage for a moderated debate, connecting the insights from each session and engaging the audience in a forward-looking discussion on practical choices and collective responsibility. The afternoon concludes with closing remarks, followed by a networking drink to continue the conversation in an informal setting.
