Home hospitalization is reimbursed in Belgium since Juli 1st 2023 for well-defined compounds (mainly in oncology or infectious diseases), with intention to provide hospital care at the patient's home. This way, it can serve to free up capacity in the hospital.
In this webinar, prof Brecht Cardoen (Vlerick Business School) will present data on the actual use of home hospitalization in Belgium and also the outcome of a study by Vlerick Business School on barriers and opportunities for home hospitalization in Belgium.
