To interact with external stakeholders, the QIG will hold Listen & Learn Focus Group meetings in order to gather information on the latest innovations. The meetings will bring together representatives from academia, industry, the regulatory network and QIG to share knowledge and experience. The aim of the meetings is to identify regulatory challenges and possible solutions related to innovative products/processes/control strategies/facilities. Interested companies/organisations and academia are encouraged to outline their projects and highlight identified regulatory and scientific challenges.

The second Listen and Learn Focus Group meeting will be held on 12th and 13th October 2023, virtually, and will focus on Digital Novel Technologies applied to manufacturing and/or quality control testing (e.g. Artificial intelligence, machine learning, digital twins, robotics, internet of Things (IoT), virtual reality etc.)

Further details on agenda and participation will be shared in due course.

There is a call for short abstracts on the proposed themes above. Received abstracts will be reviewed by the QIG and a selection of representative topics will be included in the agenda of the meeting. Industry and Academic Stakeholders that intend to submit abstracts are encouraged to work together and prepare joint proposals where appropriate/possible at EU industry trade association level or Academic partnerships. Alternatively, in order to protect confidential information, industry and academic stakeholders may consider proposing generic case studies that exemplify the problem statement and topic for discussion.
